Silver has been used as a form of currency for thousands of years. Silver is widely used in jewelry as it is able to hold a high degree of shine. Silver is a white grey colour and has the highest conductivity of both electricity and heat of any element. Today silver is used to make ornaments, jewelry, high-value tableware, utensils (hence the term silverware). It is also used in mirrors because of its highly reflective surface.
